After reading our blog about Mundelein High School’s “English Hallway Transformation“, we were excited to be contacted by Prairieview Ogden Middle School, located just north of U of I in Champaign, IL. They had an idea for four door entrances…Dr. Seuss style! There, we transformed old square, blue tile into amazing Dr. Seuss book covers and spines. Each cover, sized 50″ x 108″ and spine, 13″ x 108” was wrapped with Avery Dennison’s 1105 premium cast vinyl (laminated with DOL1370, a lustre finish). Once applied, we heated the vinyl, specifically in the ground lines to give the final appearance a “painted” look. This is the same technique that is used on all of our rough surface installations, like cinderblock and brick.
